Mr. Waxner serves as the firm's chief appellate counsel, he also provides expertise in the area of civil litigation. Prior to his association with the firm, Mr. Waxner enjoyed a distinguished career as Senior Director of Publishing of Matthew Bender & Company, Inc., a leading publisher of law books. He has authored, contributed to or edited, for example, the original editions of such well known legal publications as Moore's Federal Practice, Weinstein's Evidence, Bender's Federal Practice Forms, Bender's Forms for the Civil Practice (New York), New York Civil Practice (Weinstein-Korn-Miller), New York Criminal Practice, Collier on Bankruptcy (15th Edition) and New York Law of Domestic Relations (West Publishing Co.).
Mr. Waxner is a graduate of Brooklyn Law School and Hunter College (now Lehman College). He is a member of the New York State Bar and is admitted to practice law in the State of New York and Eastern and Southern District Federal Courts. He is a member of the Suffolk County Bar Association, and has served on the Professional Ethics & Civility Committee for many years.
